Clay County has two functional Local Advisory Councils.

One for focusing on adult mental health needs and one for children's mental health needs.

Adult Local Advisory Council

To advise and educate the county board of unmet needs of adults with mental illness and their families in Clay County; To review and evaluate the continuum of services for adults with mental illness; To provide public education and awareness of mental illness; And to promote mental health in Clay County.
The Adult Local Advisory Council meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Clay County Family Service Center. The meetings are from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please contact Alison or Lori with any questions or for more information.

The Children's Local Advisory Council meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (except June, July, & August) at the Clay County Family Service Center.
The meetings begin at 8:30 a.m.
